Bellway has received planning permission to build an extra six homes at its Hare’s Leap development in Henham, which will bring the total number of homes being delivered at the site to 51.
The six additional properties will be built within the footprint of the existing site off Mill Road, which already had planning permission for 45 homes and where Bellway began construction work in December 2024.
The homes will be located at the eastern end of the development, opposite the children’s play area which is to be created within the large area of public open space running across the southern edge of the site.
Four of the properties – three four-bedroom detached houses and a five-bedroom detached house – will be for sale on the open market. The other two – a pair of three-bedroom semi-detached houses – will be available at a discounted market value to buyers who meet certain eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Local Authority.
The additional homes will be in keeping with the farmstead character of the other houses on the development, which feature dark weatherboarding and architectural details such as chimneys, full height bay windows and dormer windows. All six properties will have an electric vehicle charging point, a private garden and a garage.
