Braintree Village is set to host a week of free family-friendly Halloween-themed activities, live entertainment, and spooky surprises this October half term.
From Monday 26th to Saturday 31st October, young explorers can take part in the outlet’s interactive Halloween Trail. Guests are invited to pick up a trail map from Guest Services, located opposite Ralph Lauren, before searching for eight witches’ hats hidden in store windows across the shopping destination. Each hat features a letter, and once all have been found, participants must unscramble the hidden word. Completed trail maps can then be returned to Guest Services to claim a special Halloween treat.
For little ones keen to get into character, a free face painting station will be open daily next to Guest Services from 12pm until 4pm. Families can also pick up free Halloween-themed crafting packs from Guest Services* to continue the fun at home.
On Saturday 31st October, between 12pm and4pm, Braintree Village will come alive with a spooky Halloween circus, featuring roaming stilt walkers, a contortionist, and bubble witch.
Guests will also be able to visit the Haunted Sweet Shop – a magical Halloween hideaway, filled with glowing lanterns, pumpkins, and a mysterious treat hatch. Brave trick-or-treaters can knock on the door, give the secret password to a friendly witch or ghost, and receive a special Halloween treat. The Haunted Sweet Shop will be located next to Nike.
Josef O’Sullivan, Centre Director at Braintree Village, said: “Keeping little ones entertained during half term can be a challenge, so we’re delighted to offer a fantastic lineup of free Halloween fun at Braintree Village this October. From face painting and craft activities to our interactive trail and spooky live entertainment, there’s plenty for families to enjoy together throughout the week.”
