A Bloor Homes site manager from Felixstowe has been recognised as one of the best in the UK after winning a top housing industry award.
John Crewdson has received a Pride in the Job 2026 Seal of Excellence from NHBC, the UK’s largest provider of new home warranties and insurance.
The annual Pride in the Job awards celebrate site managers’ dedication to raising standards in home building, showcasing best practice and rewarding excellence. The competition covers England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man and is open to NHBC registered builders of all sizes. Everyone deserves a quality home which is why judging is rigorous, with assessment across six key areas: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety.
Terry Tedder, Managing Director for Bloor Homes’ Eastern region, said: “We are delighted to share the good news that John has been awarded the NHBC Pride in the Job Seal of Excellence, building on his earlier Quality award. This places him among a select group of the country’s highest performing site managers and is a fantastic reflection of the consistently exacting standards, commitment, and leadership that he shows on site. Congratulations on a thoroughly deserved achievement.”
Commenting on the Awards, Cassandra Codling, Senior Regional Director at NHBC said: “The Pride in the Job competition is at the heart of NHBC’s core purpose to raise standards in house building. It inspires site managers to make their mark on the industry, earning the respect of their peers and leaving a legacy of homes built to the highest quality standards.”
A series of regional events are taking place throughout the UK to announce the Regional and Seal of Excellence Award winners and celebrate the achievements of the Quality Award recipients. John was one of just eighteen site managers across the NHBC’s East region to receive a Seal of Excellence this year.
