Honda announces ‘Prelude Limited Edition’ for Europe, arriving this autumn.
Following the overwhelming response to its initial debut in Japan, the Prelude Limited Edition will arrive with this new unique, elevated aesthetic that highlights the sleek proportions and sophisticated Japanese craftsmanship.
This new limited-run Prelude is defined by its dramatic exclusive colour. The exterior debuts Honda’s radiant Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic paint, engineered to catch the light and accentuate the car’s fluid contours. This is further complimented by red accents on the front and rear bumpers, vibrant red Brembo brake calipers and 19” black cut alloy wheels.
Inside, the Prelude is transformed with a rich Bordeaux interior design. Made with premium materials, tailored contrast accents, it elevates an already immersive cockpit that balances sporty ambition with luxury refinement.
Contrast red stitching adds an elegant touch to the steering wheel, centre console, and dashboard, drawing the eye to the refined lines of the interior design. This new detail continues around the cabin on the front seats and door lining pad, creating a cohesive, bespoke finish throughout, and complimented by dedicated floor mats with a red accent.
Each Prelude Limited Edition also sees the Prelude logo embroidered on the dashboard leaving the impression that each has been hand signed.
Underneath its refined new colourway, the Prelude Limited Edition retains the celebrated e:HEV hybrid setup and innovative Honda S+ Shift, designed to deliver an intuitive, weightless driving feel inspired by the flying experience of gliders.
The original Prelude made its debut nearly 50 years ago and has always been a thrilling, high-performance showcase for the latest developments in Honda’s innovative technology. The new Prelude continues this legacy, as it delivers a compelling blend of style, sophistication and a state-of-the-art hybrid powertrain.
“The characteristics of the Prelude have changed over the years, but what has remained the same is its sportiness and specialty. When you think of a sports car, you think of something sharp, like an F1 or a fighter jet.
However, I think the theme of this model is closer to the image of a glider that glides through the air with a sense of freedom,” said Tomoyuki Yamagami, Large Project Leader for the Honda Prelude.
The Prelude Limited Edition is the ultimate expression of this vision, made to give customers that unique feeling, both visually and from behind the wheel.
The Prelude Limited Edition is for Model Year 2027 and available in Europe from autumn 2026.
